Board-certified in 1980, Dr. Lucero is one of the longest-practicing Filipino plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeons, widely respected as an authority in his field. A Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery and Fellow of leading surgical associations, he served 32 years at U.P. Philippine General Hospital, including 17 years as Chief of Plastic Surgery. He mentored 40 surgeons who now carry on his legacy of patient safety and excellence.
Internationally sought as a speaker, Dr. Lucero is Secretary General and founding member of the Oriental Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In 2006, he pioneered Autologous Fat Stem Cell Transplant in the Philippines, integrating stem cell therapy with surgical echniques for rejuvenation.
Graduating from Far Eastern University in 1970 (7th in the Physician Licensure Exam), he trained extensively in general and plastic surgery in the Philippines and the U.S., including fellowships in burns and aesthetic surgery. Despite his many accolades, Dr. Lucero remains a compassionate physician, continually advancing patient care and the plastic surgery community.
